Our team of nutrition educators are proud to share their nutrition education lessons! Every two weeks, join us for new seasonal recipes and fun interactive lessons. There's something for everyone; from school-age to adults, you'll be introduced to topics such as building healthy meals, having fun with exercise and going green with gardening. We hope you try something new!
Shopping at the Farmers Market!
Follow along as we share ways to save money on fruits and vegetables, nutrition tips from MyPlate, and how to earn food coupons to use at your next trip to a participating Food Trust farmers market.
For this lesson, watch Alex share portion sizes for different food groups off MyPlate or watch Jenn discuss portion sizes in Spanish. After, Chalise shows us how to make an "East African Mango and Cucumber Salad" using ingredients you can find at your local farmers market or grocery store.
