Dr. Bill McKinney, Director of Research and Evaluation
Bill works to evaluate the impacts of The Food Trust programs on healthy food access and obesity. Bill has a master's degree in applied anthropology and a Ph.D. in anthropology. He is an urban gardener and also a music lover; Bill enjoys playing reggae/soul music with his band the West Kensingtons.
Candace Young, Associate Director of Research and Evaluation
Candace works to evaluate the impact of The Food Trust programmming and advise on directions of future work and research. Candace holds a Master of Science degree in community nutrition and, in her spare time, tends a small garden and an "accidental orchard" of pear, apple, plum and paw-paw trees.
Yi-Ming Law, Research Coordinator
Ming furthers The Food Trust's mission by evaluating its programs and managing research studies surrounding the effects of healthy food access. Fun fact: Ming was a Division I wrestler and likes to read about the origins of the universe.
Chantal Roberts, Research Coordinator
Chantal works to evaluate the impact of The Food Trust’s programming with a focus on geospatial analytics. Chantal holds a Masters of Science degree and was a 2012 Norman Borlaug Fellow. She is a lifelong cyclist, gardener and traveler.
Fred Shaykis, Research Associate
As part of the Research and Evaluation team, Fred helps evaluate a variety of The Food Trust's programs and contributes to ongoing improvement and development efforts. A native of New York City, Fred is very excited to be working in Philadelphia and looks forward to exploring all that the city has to offer -- especially its food, bike trails and arts scene.
