The Food Trust is kicking off the 2014 farmers' market season with the opening of Headhouse Farmers’ Market, the city’s largest outdoor market, on Sunday, May 4th, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2nd and Lombard streets.
Opening day will bring your favorite local farmers and producers and some new additions back to Headhouse.
Plus: Come meet local cookbook author Marisa McClellan. Her new book is called Preserving by the Pint and all the recipes in the book start with just a pint and a quart or a pound (or two!) of produce. It is perfect for farmers' market shoppers who want to preserve without a huge amount of work. She'll be at the opening day of the market with tastes from the new book, as well as copies for sale.
