“For several years now, we’ve hosted kindergarten classes here as part of SNAP-Ed. The kids have done herb plantings, nutrition classes, toured the farm production areas and other cool activities. It has had an obvious impact on many of the children who not only do not get out into green spaces but who also have no experience with what growing food looks like. For many, this is their first direct experience. It’s unfortunate that those children are at risk of losing those experiences this year.”
