Fundraise for
The Food Trust

It takes a village to ensure delicious, nutritious food for all. By holding a fundraiser for The Food Trust, you can harness the power of your networks and create a ripple effect of impact.

However you choose to be involved, your participation helps us ensure that all families can access, afford and learn about the foods that bring us joy and support our health.

HOW TO FUNDRAISE

There are several ways to raise funds for The Food Trust:

  • Host a peer-to-peer fundraiser on The Food Trust’s website: We’ll provide you with information on how to set up your fundraising page, as well as tips and resources to help you promote your fundraiser and garner donations from your friends and family.
  • Fundraise on Facebook: Hosting a Facebook fundraiser is an easy and simple way to tap into the power of your social network. Click here to get started.
  • Host an event: At your event, you can direct attendees to make a donation on our website, or ask them to write checks made payable to The Food Trust.

GETTING STARTED

Here are a few “fun”draiser ideas to inspire you:

Host a party

Reach out to your friends and family, and host a virtual or in-person fundraiser in honor of The Food Trust. It can be as formal or informal as you’d like — consider a sit-down meal, game night, happy hour, dessert party or wine tasting. All you have to do is pick a date and invite your friends!

Request donations in lieu of gifts

For your birthday, wedding or other special event, ask your friends and family to donate to The Food Trust instead of giving presents. We’ll help you spread the word about our work and your generosity!

Share a skill

If you have a special talent that you can share or teach, consider using those skills to benefit The Food Trust. For example, you could donate fees from a class you teach (e.g., fitness, art, cooking, guided walks/hikes) or sell your art, baked goods, photography or meal-planning abilities.

Host a benefit

Do you have a connection with a restaurant/bar or other business (e.g., boutique, clothing store) that would be willing to donate a percentage of proceeds from a certain day or item to The Food Trust? If so, let us know!

THANKS TO OUR FUNDRAISERS!

Melissa hosted a cupcake decorating party to benefit The Food Trust. Guests decorated cupcakes with fillings and toppings provided by 10 of the best local bakeries. What a delicious way to raise nearly $1,000!

Zac and Lori honored The Food Trust on their wedding day! They made a generous donation in support of our work, and we designed table cards to educate their guests about how their gift would drive healthy change for kids and families in Philadelphia.

Sabina teaches yoga classes, and donated a portion of proceeds from the month of March to The Food Trust. What a great way to pay it forward with healthy habits!
