The Food Trust is recruiting a New Jersey-based Program Manager to collaborate with community partners, the New Jersey SNAP-Ed team, The Food Trust’s Healthy Corner Store Initiative project management, corner store owners, local suppliers, farmers and community partners to develop and implement sustainable strategies for bringing fresh produce and other healthy foods into targeted Camden communities. The Program Manager will manage the overall operation of the project, including policy, systems and environmental changes in stores like grab-and-go smoothie operations, merchandizing, equipment purchasing and installation. The Program Manager will also assist in the identification and recruitment of corner stores across the state, as needed.

The Food Trust is recruiting a Grant & Contract Accountant to perform the accounting and financial service functions for the organization’s programs funded by grants or contracts. These functions include: preparing financial projections and budgets; actual vs. budget reporting; ensuring grants and contracts are compliant with private, local, state and federal fund requirements; billing and collections; journal entries; and financial grant reporting for internal and external clients. This position will help guide the healthy food access aspect of key Food Trust programming initiatives. The Food Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and committed intern to help support the Healthy Food Access team in the implementation of multiple state-level Healthy Food Financing Initiatives (HFFIs). The Food Trust’s Healthy Food Access work combines rigorous research and policy advocacy to forge innovative public/private partnerships that bring grocery stores and other fresh food retail markets to underserved areas. This intern position provides an ideal opportunity for an individual interested in public policy, public health, research, urban planning, food systems and/or community and economic development to learn about the diverse efforts and strategies of a nationally recognized organization while building communication skills and practical experience.
